Thanks to the continued support and donations received through the ‘Breast Reconstruction Awareness’ charity, we have been able to buy 8 new chairs and footstools for the HDU bays on Stock Ward. Stock ward continually care for and support our breast reconstruction patients immediately post operatively. We hope that the new chairs will help improve the comfort of patients during their recovery period post surgery.
BRA is held under the auspices of Mid and South Essex Hospitals Charity, the charity oversee the administration of all charitable monies donated to our hospitals at Broomfield, Basildon and Southend.
Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Meetings give women, newly diagnosed with breast cancer, the chance to meet and get support, information, insights and resources, from women who have been through the same experience.
